The War On Drugs a dévoilé Holding On, épique galop sonore dont le groupe a le secret qui annonce le nouvel album A Deeper Understanding sous d’excellentes augures.
Après « Thinking of a Place », nouveau morceau de onze minute posté il y a quelques semaines, The War On Drugs dévoile un nouvel extrait de son album A Deeper Understanding qui sortira le 24 août chez Atlantic
Après avoir dévoilé en avril un formidable premier single long de 11 minutes, « Thinking Of A Place », la formation emmenée par Adam Granduciel, The War On Drugs, vient enfin d’annoncer la sortie de son quatrième album, qui s’intitule A Deeper Understanding. Le successeur du monumentale Lost In The Dream (2014) paraîtra le 25 août chez Atlantic Records, et contient 10 titres (tracklisting ci-dessous).
Enregistré avec l’ingénieur Shawn Everett (Weezer, Perfume Genius, Alabama Shakes), le successeur de Lost in the Dream s’annonce grandiose. Intitulé A Deeper Understanding, il nous est présenté comme un disque collectif. Toujours coincé entre Born to Run et une anthologie de Dire Straits, Adam Granduciel maintient un niveau d’écriture hallucinant. La preuve avec Holding On, chanson sur laquelle Meg Duffy fait des merveilles.
